Affordable AI-Powered License Plate Recognition for Homeowners

EasyLPR is tailored for homeowners to improve neighborhood security. It provides accurate license plate recognition and sends real-time alerts about suspicious vehicles without the cost and complexity that other solutions demand.

To match the cost and real-time constraints, EasyLPR is powered by an NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano edge-AI computer and uses MultiPath Mobile Vision Transformer (MobileViT) to perform accurate and timely license plate recognition.

Initial deployment has already shown promising results in monitoring neighborhood traffic. Mismatched license plates have been detected and reported to police officials, who were very intrigued and impressed by its capabilities.

EasyLPR can be easily deployed on premises such as garage pillars or the front lawn.

EasyLPR can capture moving vehicles from far away (100 to 150 feet) and at an awkward angle (30°  to 40°), correctly recognize letters and digits of the license plate despite the challenging conditions (small, motion-blurred, perspective-distorted), and send real-time notification to users through Discord.

Compared to existing LPR solutions such as Flock Safety LPR, EasyLPR is affordable and homeowner friendly.
